Schools celebrate Nawroz and Raparin.
Ahmed Shwani, Kirkuk:
Three high schools in Kirkuk celebrated on Thursday, March 24, the 20th anniversary of Raparin, the Kurdish uprising in 1991, and Nawroz, the Kurdish new year. Azar, Haji Qadri Koyie, and Mamostayan school for boys participated in the celebration. Several students, teachers, government officials and political party leaders attended the celebration. Students sang Kurdish songs and performed several dancing styles, among them the traditional Kurdish dance.
