Vivan Khoshbaya uses her small poultry farming project to help the needy

Ammar Aziz- Duhok Vivan Khshbaya , a Christian, is 48 years old   She lives in Tishambe village in Amedi, Duhok. She has two sons and one daughter   Vivan is a civil servant in Batifa sub-district, but her passion is raising poultry.   At first she was raising partridges, Turkeys and ducks, but now she is raising chicken. Currently she has over 600 chickens in her yard   I raise them as if they were my own children; if any of them dies I feel so sad”, says Vivan   She doesn’t have a hen farm. She says “If I had a big farm I could raise thousands of chicken.”   She often gives chicken and eggs to needy families, and sometimes she uses her profits to buy presents for talented students in her village.
