Ninewa- KirkukNow Isra had been forced into marriage at the age of 12. Her husband died in a bombing during the war against the Islamic State (IS) terror group, which overran Mosul in 2014. He left her with 8 children to take care of. After Mosul was recaptured by Iraqi forces in 2017, she left the IDP camps and returned home. Despite her miseries, Isra has not lost hope. She now works in a local shop to provide for her children.
