KRG sends Kirkuk students abroad
The KRG’s MoHESR is to send 56 students from Kirkuk in the Human Capacity Building Program to study abroad.
In a press conference held on April 22, Dr. Ali Saeed, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Studies, Kurdistan Region, announced accepting 630 candidates for studying for Masters and PhD’s in various fields.
Students can apply from now on according to the minister. The candidates are divided as below:
1. 250 Masters candidates from Erbil, Sulaimani, Duhok, and Kirkuk.
2. 291 first graded Bachelor holders from 2010-2011 from Sulaimani, Erbil and Duhok.
3. 124 PhD candidates from Erbil, Sulaimani, Duhok and Kirkuk.
Among the Kirkuk students, 56 of them will be chosen for a Masters degree, and 14 for a PhD according to Dr. Saeed.
