After playing for various clubs in the world, Mado Malik, a 23-year-old ambitious player is going to play for the Kirkuk club.  His dream is to play with his national team, Senegal, in the London Olympics.

He started with Shalim when he was younger, and succeeded in the Senegal championships through his abilities and skills in playing football.  After his success at home, he had many offers to play abroad.

He started from the New Morocco team as a defender, but his success was more obvious at the Hatta club, a first-ranked club in the UAE where he became their best scorer.

In Syria, he played for Futua, and became one of the best professional players in Syria along with Makiti Diubi from Africa and Ali Salah from Iraq.  After the unrest in Syria, he turned to Iraq and the Kurdistan region.

At first he played for the Hallo team.  Although the team had a bad record, the team’s level was enhanced when Mado played for them as they were ranked 8th at the end of the season.  As the Kirkuk club was suffering from the lack of forward players, they signed a contract with Mado.

Mado is waiting for the Iraqi Law Union to approve his contract with Kirkuk and let him play with the Kirkuk Club in the second phase of the Iraqi Clubs Championship.  He will take the number 99 on his shirt.

In an interview to Kirkuk Now, Mado said, “I hope to show the best performance with the Kirkuk club and score a goal each match.”  He also wished more foreign players played for the Kirkuk club saying, “I’ll try to be responsible and good in my performance.  I’ll try to make our fans and coach happy.”
