Ministry of Migration and Displacement: 500.000 Displaced People will be received

Darbaz Muhemmed, Minister of Migration and Displacement said that the Ministry of Migration and Displacement plans to build 100.000 tents to receive 500.000 displaced people.
On March 9th, at the Fifth-Annual Sulaimani Forum, Darbaz Muhemmed said that they are planning to build 100.000 tents with the cooperation and coordination of the United Nations and the Kurdistan Regional Government to receive 500.000 displaced people.
Darbaz Muhemme also said that there is no displaced family who has not received help.
Since the operation of controlling Mosul started, 300.000 people have been displaced. 72.000 of the displaced people have returned to their areas, according to the Ministry of Migration and Displacement.
The High Commissioner of the United Nations for Refugees announced the construction of 100.000 tents in Easern Mosul, and two new camps in the province.
The two camps will be built in the East and the South of Mosul, and it can receive 39.000 IDPs.
The High Commission of Refugees said that the current numbers of the camps does not fit the number of the IDPs because the camps are full of IDPs, so more camps are needed in order to receive more IDPs.
Since the operation of Mosul started on February 19th, the numbers of the displaced people have increased.
The citizens of the right side of Mosul number some 750.000-800.000 people, and up to 250.000 of them have been displaced, according to data of the United Nations.
Dozens of citizens from Mosul have been displaced since the operation of controlling Mosul started.
