My name is Farah Yousef; I was born in 1982 in Mosul, Nineveh.
After years of separation, I wanted to return to my city with an art project, a painting I had been preparing for a year called "Panorama of Mosul between two springs.”
I graduated from the College of Fine Arts of Mosul University in 2004-2005. After graduating, I decided to move to the UAE, where I worked as an art coordinator at the National School of Dubai.
After a while, I was appointed head of the drawing department at Sharjah University, which has training for talented people.
There I was able to win several awards and titles, including; Sharjah University Best Employee Award with first place in designing a poster for UAE National Day.
I came back with these achievements; In Mosul, I exhibited the painting as an expression of my love and appreciation for my city because of the difficult situation it went through during the occupation of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
