Miss Iraq 2021 is back to her hometown

Maria Ferhad was nominated on July 29th as Miss iraq 2021.

Maria is a Christian from the the town of Qaraqush in Ninawa plains.

On August 12th, she was warmly wlecomed by the locals in a special weocome party by playing music and wearing traditional uniform.

Tahsin Haddad, head on Ninawa syndicate of artists, said "she was warmly welcomed back in a special ceremony in Qaraqush Cinema hall."

"We are proud that a girl from plains of Ninawa has become Miss Iraq. We fully support her and offered her a special reward."
