The Qishla of Kirkuk on the brink of collapse

The Qishla was built in 1863. It consists of 14 main parts

Each part of the Qishla refers to a particular craft in Kirkuk in the 1940s. Although parts of the Qishla were planned to be renovated, but the project was delayed due to financial crisis.

The management board of the Qishla had earlier warned of an imminent collapse of the building.

Parts of the Qishla suffered damages due to heavy rain.
