Harvesting olives at Ezidis' Lalish temple

Ezidis harvest olive oil in a ceremony that they later use to light candles at their holy Lalish temple.
Harvesting olives and producing oil olive from it has became a part of thier annual traditional and cultural events
Ezidi women and men from different areas are chosen to takpe part in the event.
The oil they produce is used to light 366 candles of Lalish temple throughout the year.
After storing the olives for a while, they are taken out once more and washed.
The olives are later stored at the main oil store in Lalish until April.
When the olives have fully grown and their color change to Black, they ate harvested from the nearly 700 oil trees of the temple and are collected at the same place.
