Kirkuk police chief, Ali Kamal, and his wife, who were infected with COVID-19, recovered from the virus and left hospital today, a source told KirkukNow.
Ali Kamal and his wife tested negative for the novel coronavirus yesterday.
“Ali Kamal and his wife were under medical observation at the Azadi hospital… the result of their latest tests showed they recovered from the virus and they left hospital today,” the source added.
799 coronavirus cases have been recorded in Kirkuk, among which 231 recoveries and 31 deaths.
Kirkuk province were the second province that came after Najaf for the record of the first coronavirus cases in Iraq.
In their latest meeting, Kirkuk Crisis Cell decided to allocate Kirkuk General Hospital to treat COVID-19 patients, reduce working hours of government directorate to 25 per cent and enforce a curfew from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
