Iraqi Federal Police close off the Kirkuk-Baghdad route in Daquq district due to an abandoned car on the roadside suspected to be a car bomb.
KirkukNow correspondent reports that the road has been closed in both directions since 11:45 AM local time.
The same road was closed off last night as well after an IED was discovered near it. The bomb was dismantled by the security forces.
There have been periodic attacks in the district of Daquq in the southern part of Kirkuk province by unknown gunmen which the security forces describe as “remnants of ISIS.”
